Warning: This article contains spoilers from the One Piece manga! For a series as popular as One Piece, the fan base is massive, and they often praise the animators for incredible episodes. The anime debuted in 1999 and has changed its art style and upgraded its animation several times since. However, since the Wano Country Saga, the animation has improved significantly, with renowned talents such as Megumi Ishitani, Vincent Chansard, Akihiro Ota, and many more joining the team. The animation was further enhanced in the ongoing Egghead Incident Arc, and the anime has been dropping one banger chapter after another ever since its return from the hiatus.
The ongoing Elbaph Arc is still in its initial phases, and it won’t be long before things take a turn for the worse. The animation quality continues to improve, especially after the schedule change, which allows the animators more time to work on the episodes. Almost every episode of this arc is going to be incredibly intense, but hardly anything can compare to the God Valley Incident. The manga already concluded the flashback, but anime fans have to wait longer to learn the truth about the major incident from 38 years ago. However, while the anime is ongoing, Vincent Chansard drew fans’ attention after expressing his interest in working on the upcoming flashback.

According to a post shared by @pewpiece on X, Chansard shared, “I’d really love to work on the God Valley arc in One Piece and help make as many episodes as possible. It’s something I’ve had on my mind for a long time.”
The information comes from a reliable source, known for sharing all kinds of updates on One Piece. The animator has yet to return in the Elbaph Arc, even though he confirms he has every intention to work on the exciting flashback. Fans reacted positively to the post, expressing excitement over the animator’s possible return. Almost every episode he worked on has been well-received by fans. This includes his contributions in Episodes 1112, which features Shanks vs. Eustass Kidd, and 1144, where the Five Elders reveal their true forms for the first time.
God Valley Is The Best Flashback in One Piece

The backstory begins with the intention of revealing the truth about Harald’s murder at the Aurust Castle 14 years ago. However, it doesn’t take long before Rocks D. Xebec stole the limelight. He was already mentioned in the anime previously, but the Elbaph Arc finally introduced him. Fans also learn that almost everything about the God Valley Incident shared by Sengoku was a lie to cover up the World Government’s atrocities.
As the truth about Xebec’s origins, his motives, and his connection to Blackbeard comes to light, the backstory draws near its conclusion. Following the tragic incident, the story moves on to Harald’s past, revealing why Loki was blamed for killing him and how everything was traced back to Imu.
