One Piece Season 2 Netflix Luffy

Netflix’s One Piece is by far the most successful live-action adaptation of any manga, and it only keeps gaining popularity after two seasons. While the first season focuses on the beginning of Luffy’s journey as he gathers a reliable crew, the latest season follows the Straw Hat Pirates into the Grand Line. The journey ahead keeps getting dangerous, and Season 3 will be more intense than ever. Just like the first season, the live-action series continues to make considerable changes from the manga while remaining faithful to the spirit of the story. The second season sets up the stage for the exciting Alabasta Arc, one of the most beloved arcs in the story. With the ship’s new resident doctor and Princess Vivi onboard, the crew heads towards the desert kingdom to confront a powerful Warlord.

However, while fans await the series’ return, Viz Media confirms the release date of Set Sail: The Art and Making of One Piece. The deluxe hardcover art book explores the behind-the-scenes of the first two seasons of the live-action series. It features concept art and on-set photography to showcase the unique filming locations, the construction of Going Merry, exclusive interviews and commentary from the staff, and more. The book will be released on June 23rd, 2026, and the link to pre-ordering has been shared on the official Viz Media platform.

The third season will begin streaming in 2027, but the exact release date and a trailer haven’t been revealed yet. The story will follow the Straw Hat Pirates as they enter Alabasta and face off against Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Season 3 will fully adapt the exciting Alabasta Arc, a major turning point in the story. The upcoming season will shed more light on the mysterious Warlord and Nico Robin, one of the most beloved One Piece characters of all time.

Additionally, the third season will also introduce new faces, including more members from the Baroque Works. While the upcoming Season 3 is expected to drop next year, One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda hyped up the series last month. Since Oda has been part of the production crew as the Executive Producer, he knows the ins and outs of the development stage. The creator is more than satisfied with the development and praises the visuals.

The entire season will take place in a dreary desert, which was once brimming with life and energy. However, the kingdom has been slowly dying due to drought, and Crocodile only keeps making things worse for them. While you wait for the live-action, you can also catch up with the anime on Crunchyroll and Netflix. The anime is currently on the Elbaph Arc, the second arc of the Final Saga, where the crew travels all the way to the fabled land of the Giants, which was mentioned in the Little Garden Arc.
