The Summer 2026 anime season is right around the corner, and Crunchyroll isn’t the only platform making major plans for new releases. With the anime industry exponentially growing in popularity, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say it has long become one of the mainstream forms of media. Crunchyroll is by far the largest streaming service for anime fans across the globe, adding dozens of new series every quarter as part of the new season lineup. On the other hand, platforms such as Netflix and HIDIVE often add several unique anime films and series for viewers to enjoy on a monthly and seasonal schedule.
The new additions are a mix of seasonal releases and newly licensed shows. Each month, HIDIVE has been adding new anime to its library, including some of the forgotten classics from Tatsunoko Production, one of the oldest animation studios established in 1962. HIDIVE has major plans for this summer, as the official website confirms the entire lineup along with a new update on Anime Expo.
HIDIVE Has an Exciting Lineup For The Summer 2026 Anime Season

Several major anime series will begin streaming exclusively on the platform starting the first week of July. Here’s a complete new lineup of the Summer 2026 anime on HIDIVE.
- Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing Season 2
- The World Is Dancing
- The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Road Trip
While the list isn’t long, each one of them offers something new to fans. The World Is Dancing is by far the biggest anime on the platform for 2026 so far. It’s produced by Cypic, the animation studio behind the anime adaptation of the Shonen Jump hit, Kagurabachi. It’s a historical anime series, based on the acclaimed manga by Kazuto Mihara. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Morning magazine in March 2021 and reached its conclusion in October 2022 after releasing 60 chapters.
Additionally, the other two series are both isekai, and Hell Mode is returning with a sequel season only a few months after the first season ended. Lastly, The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Road Trip is a new addition to the anime world based on a light novel of the same name.
Upcoming HIDIVE Summer 2026 Anime Will Premiere At Anime Expo

Before these anime series begin streaming on the platform, they will premiere at this year’s Anime Expo. For over three decades now, the annual anime convention held in California has been bringing exciting news, merchandise, and more for fans. Anime Expo celebrates Japanese pop culture, features panels, holds workshops, and much more.
This year’s convention will be held from July 2nd to July 5th, and the premiere date of each of these three seasons has been officially revealed. Hell Mode Season 2 will premiere on the first day of the convention, while The World Is Dancing is scheduled for July 3rd. HIDIVE’s lineup will close off with the premiere of The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Road Trip on the last day, July 5th.
