Xbox Game Pass Day One Game Added Today Has 97/100 Rating With Players

Xbox Game Pass added two new games today, one of which has a 97% approval rating over on Steam. Suffice to say, it is a bit of a fan favorite. And now it is available for free to all subscribers across Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC, and Standard tiers. The only tier it is not available with is the Core tier. That said, how long it will be available via the Microsoft subscription service, we do not know. It is not a permanent addition, but this is all we know.

The new Xbox Game Pass game in question is part of the September 2025 lineup, and it is called Wobbly Life. For those who have never heard of this name before, it has been around in Early Access for a little while, but it only had its 1.0 launch today. To this end, it is a day-one Xbox Game Pass game. While not as noteworthy as the biggest day one Xbox Game Pass games this year, it is actually one of the highest-rated, if the filter is user reviews.

A Fan Favorite

Developed and published by RubberBand Games, Wobbly Life is an open-world physics sandbox game where you can play with others, whether via online play or local co-op. That said, while the game supports 1-4 players, and while most don’t play it solo, it can be played by yourself if you choose to engage in this fashion.

As for the game itself, you take on jobs, mini games, and story missions to earn in-game cash to then spend on cosmetics like outfits, but also cooler and better vehicles and houses. And all of this is the backdrop to the main allure of the game, though, which is its wacky open-world physics sandbox that lends itself to hilarity and hijinks.

As noted, Wobbly Life has excellent remarks from those who have played it. To this end, on Steam, the $25 game has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating, the highest rating a game can earn on Steam. This is thanks to a 97% approval rating across 14,483 user reviews, a higher rating than this month’s huge Xbox Game Pass game, Hollow Knight: Silksong. Meanwhile, critically, it does not currently have an available score on Metacritic to cite and bolster this positive reception among players.

All of that said, and as always, feel free to leave a comment letting us know what you think, or join the conversation over on the ComicBook Forum. What games have you been playing this month via Xbox Game Pass?
