The Summer 2026 anime season is almost here, and Crunchyroll isn’t the only platform making major plans for new releases. With the anime industry exponentially growing in popularity across the globe, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say it has long become one of the mainstream forms of media. Crunchyroll is by far the largest streaming service for anime fans, adding dozens of new series every quarter as part of the new season lineup. These new additions premiere weekly episodes shortly after the Japanese broadcast.
On the other hand, platforms such as Netflix and Hulu often add several unique anime films and series for viewers to enjoy on a monthly and seasonal schedule. The new additions are a mix of seasonal releases and newly licensed shows, both of which are just as exciting. The official website of Hulu released its July 2026 schedule, including all the series coming to the platform and being removed. While no anime is being removed this month, a list of series will be added for the first time, so don’t forget to add them to your watchlist.
6) Undead Unluck: Winter Arc (Dubbed)

Undead Unluck Winter Arc made its debut on December 25th last year in Japan, and it’s finally coming to Hulu on July 2nd, 2026. It’s an hour-long episode of the anime, featuring a new story and characters crafted by original creator Yoshifumi Tozuka. The episode follows an original story and introduces new characters not seen in the manga. The story centers around Billy as he receives a report on the Autumn battle and learns the Undead and Unluck are evolving.
Juiz drops a shocking truth about the artifacts and weapons that were meant to defeat God, confirming that the Ark can only perform one more loop. Despite Juiz’s request, Billy refuses to join forces once again in order to defeat the God. As the story continues, his true objective comes to light. Additionally, Andy and Fuko, who have captured Autumn’s core, are on a mission to take down Summer. Before the anime shares new updates on the second season, it’s a perfect new episode for fans with several mysteries and high-stakes battles, adding depth to the overall story.
5) Dorohedoro Seasons 1 and 2 (Subbed and Dubbed)

MAPPA’s underrated dark fantasy is slowly gaining more popularity six years after its original premiere. The anime initially premiered in 2026 and took six years to return with a second season. The wait was worth it considering the better animation quality and publicity. The anime is based on Q Hayashida’s acclaimed Seinen manga, which was serialized from 2000 to 2018. Although the first two seasons are already available on Crunchyroll and Netflix, the anime is expanding its reach with its Hulu premiere on July 3rd, 2026. Caiman, a half-reptile, half-man, is one such victim of such experiments. He is cursed with his strange appearance and tormented by nightmares. In hopes of turning back to normal, he hunts magic users using a trusted pair of bayonets and his immunity to magic. Accompanied by his female companion, Nikaido, he unravels the dark secrets lingering in the alleys of the Hole while also uncovering what transpired in his past.
4) Daemons of the Shadow Realm (Subbed and Dubbed)

Daemons of the Shadow Realm is the new anime adaptation based on a manga by Hiromu Arakawa, the same legendary creator behind the acclaimed Fullmetal Alchemist. The siblings’ fate has been decided since birth, but when a group of armed men assaults the village and kills every adult on sight, Yuru learns the shocking truth about his sister. They’re all chosen from the five most prominent clans in the kingdom.
Reirin Kou, one of the candidates and a pristine consort-in-training, is believed to be perfect to become the empress. On the other hand, Keigetsu Shu, the other candidate, is always overshadowed by Reirin and often seen as a disgrace to the Maiden Court. As her jealousy reached its peak, Keigetsu even attempted to kill Reirin by trying to push her off the balcony. She failed miserably and was imprisoned for her crime, while Reirin somehow managed to survive. While awaiting her execution in prison, she casts a spell to switch bodies with her rival and steal everything that belongs to her.
