6 Anime Coming to HIDIVE in May 2026

The second month of the exciting Spring 2026 anime season is finally here as some of the greatest anime of the year made their debut in April. The first month of the ongoing season includes some of the greatest anime ever, including Witch Hat Atelier, Nippon Sangoku, and many more. Additionally, many sequels were also released this season, including Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3 and Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2. While most of the anime released in every season stream on Crunchyroll, HIDIVE has its own slate of new releases for each month.

Most of the series added to the platform each month aren’t always the latest debuts, but it’s never too late to add more shows to your watchlist. The official website of HIDIVE released its May 2026 schedule, including all the series leaving and coming to the platform.

6) Blue Drop

This sci-fi girls’ love anime will be added to the platform on May 5th, 2026. The anime was originally released in 2007 following Mari Wakatake, who lost all her memories after a horrifying incident on the island she lived. With everyone dead on the island, she is forced to enroll at an isolated girls’ academy and encounters a mysterious girl whom she is inexplicably drawn to.

5) Dokkoida?!

Released in 2003, this sci-fi comedy remains one of the most underrated anime by Ufotable, the animation studio behind Demon Slayer. It centers around Suzuo, who desperately needs a job and catches the eye of Tampop, a member of the Galazy Federation Police (GFP), who is on a mission to find a prototype of her company’s suit. The anime released 13 episodes, all of which will be added to the platform on May 5th.

4) Casshan

All 35 episodes of this 1970s classic sci-fi series will begin streaming on HIDIVE starting May 12th, 2026. The story is set in the near future, where, thanks to advanced technology, robots have self-awareness. They have conquered humanity, and the only hope for mankind is Casshan, a fusion of man and machine who wishes to restore peace in the world.

3) Di Gi Charat 

All 16 episodes of the main story and the five special episodes of this 1990s fantasy will begin streaming on HIDIVE on May 19th, 2026. The story centers around Princess Di Gi Charat, who infiltrated Earth to chase stardom and realizes money is more important than anything. The story follows her ordeals as she strives to change her socioeconomic status.

2) Gold Lightan the Golden Warrior 

This original anime released 52 episodes in the 1980s and will finally be streaming on HIDIVE starting May 26th, 2026. The story centers around Hiro, who accidentally encountered Gold Lightan, a robot that fell to Earth from the Robot Dimension, that can also transform into a giant super robot in order to defend the planet.

1) Mysterious Girlfriend X 

One of the most unique romance series, released in 2012, will be added to the platform on May 26th, 2026. The story centers around Akira Tsubaki, who encounters a mysterious girl, Mikoto Urabe, and falls in love after a series of strange events.
