PlayStation Plus Subscribers Are Losing 6 Games in October 2025 (Including 2 AAA Horror Games)

PlayStation Plus subscribers are about to lose six more games later this month, two of which are AAA horror titles. Each month, when Sony adds its new lineup of games to the Game Catalog for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, it also ends up taking away some games as well. Currently, we don’t know what new arrivals will be hitting the service, but we now know which ones will be exiting.

Recently, Sony updated the “Last Chance to Play” section of PS Plus that appears on PlayStation consoles. This time around, six games will be removed from the subscription platform, a handful of which are quite notable and come from AAA publishers. These losses will kick into effect on October 21st, which means that subscribers have a little over two weeks from the time of this writing to play these games.

Here’s every game leaving PS Plus in October 2025:

  • Battlefield 1
  • Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed
  • Tour de France 2023
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me
  • The Last Clockwinder

Horror Games Are Leaving PS Plus at the Worst Time

Without question, the two biggest removals on PS Plus in October are House of Ashes and The Devil in Me. Both of these games belong to developer Supermassive’s horror series The Dark Pictures Anthology, where each installment provides a different horror experience. House of Ashes, the 2021 entry in the franchise, centers around a group that stumbles across an abandoned temple in the middle of Iraq that is filled with mysterious creatures. The Devil in Me then launched in 2022 and follows a crew of characters that finds themselves trapped on an isolated island.

These losses hurt more than normal given that many are looking to play horror games throughout October in the lead-up to Halloween. The good news is that, as mentioned, House of Ashes and The Devil in Me won’t be removed from PS Plus for a bit longer, so you do have time left to play them. Plus, the PS Plus Essential lineup of free games for October is adding the horror title Alan Wake 2, which brings another spooky title to the mix at the perfect time.
